Ingredients

  • 1 small seedless watermelon, chilled
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cup fresh strawberries, finely diced
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 medium lime, cut into wedges

Equipment

  • Crinkle cutter or chef's knife
  • Cutting board
  • Mixing bowl

Method

  1. Prep the fruit: Cut the chilled watermelon into thick circular slices, remove the rind, and use a crinkle cutter to slice the red fruit into long fry shapes.
  2. Chill: Place the cut fruit on a paper towel-lined tray in the refrigerator to keep them firm and cold.
  3. Make the dip: In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, finely diced strawberries, honey, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Serve: Arrange the fruit sticks on a platter, squeeze fresh lime juice over the top, and serve immediately with the yogurt dip.

Notes

  • Keep everything as cold as possible for the best texture. If the fruit gets too warm, it will become mushy and release too much water.
