Ingredients

  • 14 oz smoked kielbasa Sliced into quarter-inch rounds
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh, dried thoroughly
  • 1 large red bell pepper Chopped into large pieces
  • 1 medium yellow onion Roughly chopped
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 0.25 cup pure honey
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Low-sodium
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Large Baking Sheet
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk the olive oil, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper together in a small bowl until smooth.
  3. Place the sliced kielbasa, broccoli, bell pepper, and onion directly onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Pour the liquid glaze over the meat and vegetables, tossing well until every piece is evenly coated.
  5. Spread the mixture into a single, flat layer to ensure even roasting and prevent steaming.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, tossing the ingredients halfway through, until the broccoli is tender and the sausage has caramelized edges.

Notes

  • Ensure your broccoli is completely dry before tossing it in the glaze to avoid watery pan juices.
