Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups crushed salted pretzels
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tub whipped topping 8 ounces, thawed
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries hulled and diced

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Electric hand mixer
  • Large mixing bowl

Method

  1. Bake Crunch: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and brown sugar. Spread on a lined baking sheet and bake for 7 minutes. Let cool completely, then crumble.
  2. Mix Base: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, white sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Fold Together: Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture, followed by the diced strawberries.
  4. Assemble: Just before serving, fold half of the cooled pretzel crumble into the salad. Transfer to a serving bowl and top with the remaining crumble.

Notes

  • Ensure the baked pretzel mixture is entirely cool before touching the cream base, otherwise it will melt the topping.
