Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 3 cups cooked rice jasmine or white
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 3 medium green onions thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Wooden spoon

Method

  1. Whisk the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha together in a small bowl until smooth to create the Bang Bang sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground turkey to the skillet. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned and cooked through.
  4. Lower the heat to low. Stir the soy sauce and half of the prepared Bang Bang sauce into the meat. Simmer for 2 minutes to coat the turkey, then remove from heat.
  5. Serve the saucy turkey over warm cooked rice. Drizzle with the remaining sauce and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Avoid boiling the sauce once added to the pan to prevent the mayonnaise from separating.
  • Store leftover meat and rice in the fridge for up to 4 days, keeping extra sauce in a separate container.
